Hi anybody have any ideas what this might be on my tang? Any suggestions for treatment? It's a FOWLR tank, I just put general cure in it a couple of days ago(first treatment was going to put second dose in Friday). But I'm not sure it will cure him. Good news is he's still eating. Thanks!

looks like some bacteria or fungus infection; general cure is a good start, I may also try cipro or reef ruby rally bath.

This is a bacterial issue which may have stemmed from a scrape or injury. Its best to confirm before attempting treatments that will not work or are incorrect. This fish will need to be quarantined and treated with either seachem Kanaplex Or Maracyn 2 and water quality maintained in QT. Add air stone for added oxygen and Monitor ammonia with a reliable test kit. option is metroplex but has to be used precisely. Kanaplex is absorbed making it best
General cure best for protozoan and dropsy,

Cipro is a poor choice and ruby rally will not work fast enough.

Thanks for the advice! I do have some kanaplex on hand. If I mix it in there food can I keep using the general cure( still have one more dose to go in a few days) ?

you can run kalaplex and GC together in the water. Make sure you have a lot of aeration.

I would not dose food

I do not recommend with food and GC is not a treatment for what you have. Again, Kanaplex is easily absorbed with treatment in the water and I would go with Kanaplex. Kanaplex will take a day to take effect.
