Sick wrasse - parasites and fin issue

Hi

One of my wrasses had some white spots appear.last week and it has been behaving in a subdued manner which is unusual.

I thought it was ich (which surprised me as all my fish are bought from a reputable quarantine vendor).
Since I'm not in a position to qt all my fish and leave the tank fallow Ive just been trying to keep it well fed and healthy to stay alive.

Today I notice it has an issue with one of its fins as well.

Can I have some help diagnosing the issues.

You may note in the pics I am also battling what I think is diatoms. Phos and nitrates are highish P= 0.3 and nitrates = 15 or so. I'm working on bringing them down.

Looks like fin rot and lymphocytis in which the corellation is water quality followed by diet
If you’re using API test kits, you may be getting false test results
Assure water quality is good
Diet- these guys require meaty foods such as LRS fish frenzy that contains fats and aminos
Ruby rally reef may help with this

Thanks for the reply. Water quality has not been good lately so this would make sense. Working on getting it in line.

I usually feed frozen mysis mixed with various things like r.o.e, brine, rotis etc.

I actually made a mix of fresh seafood over the weekend, blended it all together thinking this would be better diet wise.

Is it possible to save him do you think?

What other fish are in with this one?

The spots look a little indistinct to be ich, but I can't rule that out.

It is possible that the white film on the fin and on the back is another protozoan known as Brooklynella.

Is the fish still feeding o.k.?

1x golden Midas blenny
1x blue tang
1x watchman goby (haven't seen him in a week or so but he likes to hide)
2x clownfish
1x blue mandarin

Everything else seems healthy enough.
Everything is eating well including this poor little guy.

The longer timeline and the fish still eating doesn't match up well with Brooklynella, so that's good. Do you have a treatment tank you could use to dose it with antibiotics?

I have a 20g long on a shelf.
I could whip this guy out and get him in there.

I ordered some kanaplex and focus just now. Along with some ruby rally that was suggested earlier.

Could you recommend a treatment program @Jay Hemdal , I would appreciate it very much.

Skip the focus, but kanaplex in the smaller tank, every two days for three treatments would be a possible course of action. However, you may have some challenges maintaining a low ammonia level in a new tank like that.

I can't find him this morning so I suspect he's hiding deep in the rockwork somewhere.

I wouldn’t use kanaplex in your DT, my fear is that it will damage the beneficial bacteria in the DT.

I have a bunch of bio balls in my sump I will put in the qt to try and combat ammonia.
