Hey guys , my name is Dustin . I started my saltwater journey when I was 10 with a five gallon hexagon, and a clown named Ernie. Well fast forward and a few smaller tanks later (my last tank was a 30 breeder with a 20 high sump). I am finally in a position to do the build of my dreams . I have a marine land 180 on order, and purchased an eshopps adv-300 sump from my lfs. He put a bulkhead in the wrong spot so he sold it to me for 160 bucks . My tank will be in an8x8 fish room in an unfinished basement. This journey will also include me finishing that portion of the basement.my plan is mixed reef, lps dominant. And eventually I will have a frag tank tied into this system inside the room.not much in the way of pictures yet but I'm super excited to share my journey! Cheers, and stay tuned

Welcome and can't wait to see!

Still getting used to this app. This sump has a built in fuge. I went with the blue line 70. Around 1700gph, with 700 per return that will leave me with about 300gph on my return pump to possibly do a reactor down the road.not sure if I will need too, this sump has a reactor chamber already built into it.

this will be the FTS view.it will be centered in the opening and the picture is being taken in what will be a media room. I'm think surround sound, projector, and spending quality time with my kiddos down here.

this will be the doorway to the fish room ( shelving removal occurring soon) I will be using mold resistant green Board and using frp halfway up as well. My plan is to line the floor with an elevated rubber shower system. Down to a floor drain that will be installed in the middle of the room

got a couple new goodies as well. I have been saving , then purchasing a little at a time so it doesn't break the bank. I just placed an order tonight for 50 lbs of brs reef saver. I still need another mp40 lights and then I think I'm going to switch gears on the return pump and get the eco tech vectors m1. Just keep it turned down until I add everything online. I will use this blue line for my mixing station. I will also be incorporating the blue line into my system with a ton of valves to drain and fill for water changes. I will never have to move a bucket again!!!

It's coming along nicely!

so I am doing a weight test on my stand . This is a 2000 pound drop in toll topper for a pickup truck. The weight is resting solely on my stand with the forklift still in place as a fail safe. I am very lucky to have this much equipment at my disposal. Once this is done I will place mdf board with costed poly resin for water proofing on the top and bottom. I have 1/4 sheeting that we use to insulate large suction accumulators on large refrigeration systems. That will give me the cushion I am looking for for noise. More pics to come . Sorry for the slow progress. If there is one thing I have learned is, slow and steady wins the race
