(sigh) my poor scoly

my poor scoly got stung i hope it will come back. any one know if and how long it may take this to heal. damage is on 1 3rd the ring center seems to be fine. this pic is a few days old it has peeled off to bare bone where you see damage here.:cry::cry:

I had an open brain that got stung, looked about the same as your scoly. It fully healed within a month or two. If you have a dip, dip it, it could help the regeneration process. However it doesn't have to be done. At the time mine was stung, I didn't use a dip. I would now though.

Oh, and make sure you move it away from whatever stung it to make sure it doesn't happen again.

What stung it? are you sure it's in a good spot as far as flow is concerned?

I think it is an acan I can't get a good pic of it. Like a mix between an acan lord and an echinata. Stupid clown fish knocked ot onto it the only piece that wasn't glued in my tank. As for flow I have a 550 kpralia and a425 that I just replaced the 425 with a sicce at 800. That thing really kicks some water around. I know the clowns broke my candy cane from the glue but can't remember if it touched the scolly or not. Freeking clowns host in the candy cane and a welso brain I have. Bought them a rose nem they wouldn't have anything to do with it

"glue/epoxy/glue" It's like a tuna sandwich. The bread is the glue, and the epoxy is the tuna. Never fails

Yeh that's how I do it. I put CA gel on coral then epoxy then glue

Give it low light in gentle flow and don't mess with it and it will come back. One we have had lost 70% of it flesh and fully recovered in less than 2 months. I wouldn't worry a whole lot about feeding till most all the tissue is back
