Hey guys I've had a 75 gallon tank for a little over a month and recently got 2 clownfish and noticed one has a few spots of ich on him
I currently dont have the room for a hospital tank to fit all of my fish (bangaiis, scooter blenny, blowns, and goby)
I was wondering if there was anyway I can treat ich without a hospital tank or am i out of luck? I plan on having clam so im pretty opposed to copper in my DT but if its an absolute must I'll take the sacrifice

He's still very active and constantly eating or looking for food but i can see about ~6-7 white specks on him

I love these fish already and would be distraught if they died
my wallet would also hurt its a $200 pair of clowns

Are you positive it is ich? Clowns rarely get ich. I would worry more about velvet or brook. have you noticed any scratching/flashing. I know you said he is still eating, what are you feeding? How old is the tank? How big? what else is in the tank? As much info as you can give will help. Also any pictures of the fish in question would help identify if it is indeed ich. I would not recommend using copper in the DT, as you could never have any corals, inverts, CUC, or clams. There may be other options depending in the system and what is in it.

These two spots and these I see like two v barely noticeable ones next to it and then one on the top of his tail

Oh and I'm switching between feeding Frozen Mysis or Frozen Brine soaked in garlic ( started this recently maybe thats why?) and sprinkling in the spectrum probiotic spirulina flakes ~2-3 times a day

idk what to do :( i turned off the light to maybe help with stress

all the fish just went to sleep in their usual spots like every night when i turned the lights off

Northing reef safe that will cure it. If you have no corals or inverts then hypo could be a possibility but it needs to be exact so calibrated refractometer and ATO is a must. Hypo would probably kill benificial stuff so if your rock is very live with worms and such I personally wouldn't do it.

Otherwise feed high quality foods like live food and LRS and hope he fights it off.

Only other thing that can help is a large and expensive UV.

Generally the bigger the better. Aqua UV is a good brand. I never had to deal with ich using UV so I would get some opinons on what is actually needed. The idea if it is powerful enough it should keep the disease at low levels fish can deal with easier.

I could only manage to get 5 gallon buckets from walmart atm but im starting to fill them with my small rodi to do a water change in the AM
please if anyone has any advice or ideas

If it is just ich...ich is generally not a fast killer and it's possible for fish to fight it off without any help but good food and low stress.

i assume if it was something other than ich, he'd be showing a lot of symptoms right? like at least something other than just the specks?

Also since clowns have a thick mucus coat it could just be sand stuck to them. They are not very prone to ich. (I just noticed the photos).

I would not panic.
