I'll try that today. I waved my hand over it and it does retract, but not enough to see the shell's edge. Thanks

You can safely touch the clam and it will close up.

Ok good news, It looks like there's new growth on the edge of the shell, hard to get a photo of it but it was there. I've also upped my par and the clam is sitting at around 200 -220. Thanks everyone ☺
