As the title says, what is a silent drain for a single 1" hole? Putting about 1k gph through it

There isn't one. A 1" single drain (without emergency drain) can only be safely plumbed as a Durso style drain. It will handle maybe 350gph, 300 is more reasonable. If you had an emergency drain as well you could use a full-siphon drain like a Herbie or Beananimal.

1) 1 inch maxes out at 960GPH for a drain
2) Without an emergency or 2nd drain I would not go above 1/3 the theoretical max.

So basically I agree with Bill dogg.

The number he mentions above - 960gph - would require a full siphon drain. Without some sort of emergency backup, any obstruction whatsoever will cause the DT to overflow, which will then starve your sump and probably burn up the
return pump.
