Silicon flexible hose

I need to buy some silicon flexible hose, so my question is?...
Is it safe for a return pump (brs) hose... or grainger hose with has a thicker wall but much more expensive.
I've heard of these bursting due to pressure.

The short answer is yes. I have braided nylon tubing on mine but this does pickup vibrations for the pump so there's more of an audible hum than if I'd gone with silicone tubing instead.
