After my "Wednesday water change" I removed my old lid and placed my new lid on the tank then began wiping off the outside of the tank. While doing so I noticed air bubbles in-between the glass in the silicone. I don't know if this has always been there or if they formed after the wc. There haven't been any leaks and when i apply pressure to the area they don't move at all.

They would have always been there. Typically these form as part of the assembly process. From the looks of it, there is no way water will make its way through, so it will be fine. The caulk seam is actually very nice, I aspire to get such a neat seam.

It is not an indication of a problem, just an indication of a less than perfect caulking job. I suspect people prefer black caulking to help mask the bubbles and imperfections in the caulking. I personally would prefer the clear look with a couple imperfections than a solid black line on every seam.

Nothing to worry about.

Not normal but common and no need for alarm. Also common to see after a water change when tank goes dry from water level drop then refilled.

Thank you all. I have had a tank blow out on me and didn't want to go through that again.
