I'm cleaning up a 40 gal Breeder. I've already taken out the panels and silicone but there is residue on the glass. I'm afraid to just throw anything on it because what can remove the residue could harm the remaining silicone around the edges. ANy ideas as to how to clean just the reside from the panel silicone? Here's a picture. As you can see the residue is in just a few spots. Any help would be appreciated.

I would use a razor blade.

I did that's how I got it this far. What's left is like a grease?

Could try goo gone, than a 5% bleach soak for 24 hrs, let dry 24-48 hrs.
