Silicone seal

I've been accidentally picking the silicone seals of the inside corners of my tank while cleaning it with a magfloat. I'm referring to the excess flat part of silicone that extends from the corners (I'm not sure if that makes sense, but the picture below will explain it better).

Should I fix it? Can it be fixed? Should I be concerned? No water is leaking and tank has a brace in the bottom and a rim on top (or brace, whatever it is called).

What are you meaning by trim it take all that away?
