Silicone smudge - new tank

Setting up a new tank that arrived yesterday and it has a large smudge area that’s tacky/sticky to the touch (I assume it’s silicone), theres several actually.

How do I safely get it off without using chemicals that will affect future inhabitants and avoid scratch the glass?

I would use a razorblade and a wet paper towel to wipe after u scrape the silicone off

Agreed ^ razorblade, a brand new blade has very little chance of scratching, don’t use the rusty one from the bottom of the junk drawer

If there is still residue after the razor then yes it could help with that last bit, wet a paper towel with vinegar and leave it for a few minutes.
