Silicone tube suited for uv sterilizer?

Hi

I need to connect a Sicce pump to my uv sterilizer. In the past I always used regular tubing, green Eheim tube. But the tubes get really hard and unbendable after some time so I would like to use something else.

Can I use silicone tubing for this or are there reasons I should stick with the regular stuff?

Silicone tubing is a great product and I recommend using a small piece when hard plumbing the return pump in order to reduce vibration. Be aware that silicone tubing can kink easily especially at hard turns so it may or may not be the best option for your application Good luck!

I use silicon tubing. It works fine and it has been over a year now with no issue.
