When you put the hose in the right hole. The first time I put it in the exhausr hole and it blew water everywhere.

If you are in a house and the tank isabove ground level use a garden hose. Just siphon it out with the hose to the outside. Might as well water the lawn with it.
I have always used the water from water changes on fresh water tanks to water stuff. Fish poop keeps my plants green

That's a really good idea. There's a drop to the ground so it would work.
