Alot of people use black sharpie to write on frag plug and it no problem. This silver marker smells more like spray paint then the black one.

Can I use this silver one to write on frag plug and no have issue with reef chemistry ?

I wouldnt use it. If it were black it would just be ink. But since its silver its likely got metals in it.

Maybe try etching into the plug with something sharp

Sharpies contain alcohol. Both food grade metallic silver and non food grade can use alcohol as the carrier. Since we dont know what grade the metallic silver paint is, (not on the msds) I would not use it. It may contain some copper or other metal powder.
