SOO i'm pretty new to the hobby, and spot feeding corals is something ive wanted to do, but have always had problems doing, due to my fish getting the food before the corals have a chance to take hold...or worse they do take hold and then my fish pick at the coral and harming it....so I came up with a simple little mod that actually works pretty well...

What you need:
1)Julians thing
2)Soda Bottle
3)Drill

So what i did was take the screw cap from a Dr Pepper Bottle...drilled a while in it...my biggest drill bit wasnt big enough...so what i did was, i got a lighter..heated the cap and with a screwdriver made the hole big enough for the Julians thing to fit in...i then stuck the rod through the hole...it was a very tight fit. Then i took a blade and cut the end of the Bottle off.....then screwed the bottle back onto the cap....So basically what this does is (atleast for frags or small coral) gives a nice protective barrier so that when u push food out it stays in that area and fish cant pick at the coral...i was able to feed my pally and my duncan with ease..here is a pic....the pic is pretty self explanatory.

PS you can screw it off when ever you dont need it...or need to fill up the tank....
PSS. had an idea of cutting slits in the end of the bottle all the way around..that way when you press against the rock it would be able to better seal around the coral. Just another thought :)

Hope you all enjoy
