So I have a simple question of why my zoas look dull. Lol. Well not all but most. All parameters are good. Alk 8.4 cal 420 salinity .026 phos 0. Lights are 120w led. I feed brine and cyclops daily. Any ideas? I have never had this problem until recently. I would say the past couple months. My tank is 1 yr old. All other tanks I have had never did this.

Zoas and really all coral need some phosphate. It will help with their color bumping it up to about .03

How do you go about bumping up phosphates without causing harm or going to far?

I would not consider po4 for color... Maybe growth.. However, for me my color comes with the elements that I put into the tank. A good salt and trace elements really do kick up some color. I also add fuel coral food along with a couple goni type foods to my Aquarium every couple or days. I did notice a big impact on both color and growth when just mass feeding the tank with that. Maybe that will help?
