I have a Simplicity 3200 DC return pump, and I can’t seem to find out if it uses 0-10V control.

Has anyone attempted to adapt one of these pumps to be controlled by an Apex or Hydros?

As far as I could tell it does not have a 0-10v control input. Here is a link to compatible pump for the Hydros Wave Engine https://www.coralvuehydros.com/is-my-pump-compatible/ . It is not on it. The 0-10v compatible pumps would also work with a X4 controller since it has 0-10v outputs. The WE LE does not have 0-10v outputs.

Yeah, I did notice that it's not included on the compatibility list, but maybe that's just because Hydros doesn't make a cable. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the simplicity controller, on a basic level, utilizes 0-10V control for the pump. If so, maybe an adaptor / connector could be fabricated.

It would have a 0-10v input jack on the controller if it had a 0-10v input. Hydros has a cable that converts the GX12 connector to 4 0-10v outputs with 3.5mm plugs. If the 0-10v input is a 3.5mm jack then that cable would work more than likely.

No controller control for the price of that pump. I use that 3200 for my tank and just have the apex power brick turn it off and on for feedings/misc. For this particular pump with the soft start it seems to be just fine. Changing the flow isn't that important to me. I can manually do it if I need to for some reason.

Controller control is more money unfortunately.
