Hi, I was looking at a Simplicity DC-1000 return pump for my setup. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it has memory? Like if there is a power outage will it go back to the last speed setting? If not what level will the pump default to?

Also if anyone who has a Simplicity pump could let me know their impressions of it I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I just purchased one for my new build. I was also curious about this so I tested it with some varying times between “outages”. It always remembered where it was, I even got up to 48 hours between power cycles and it still remembered exactly where I had set it. Seems to be a great little pump for the price. I am planning on picking a second one up at some point when I have the money so that I can have a backup just in case. The guy at my LFS sells and uses them and he has one he’s had on a frag tank for several (5+) years now without any problems.

Thanks, I did purchase the 1000gph model & ran it to test it. Decided to keep it, just have to run it without the intake screen to fit in my sump. Only thing I wish I could change was wish it had a bigger variance of adjustable speeds. I'm a little nervous it might be too powerful for my tank but I'll find out once I finish my plumbing.
