Simplicity Skimmer Adjustment

Right now, our simplicity skimmer is bubbling over the cup and misting onto the cabinet. I did not install the skimmer, as I'm new to this whole thing. How do I adjust the bubbles so they stay in the cup and not overflow back into the sump?

First, turn it off and empty it. This looks like an older model, so if you can try and find the manual for it. Otherwise, you basically want to open it all the way and then start closing it. On my skimmer I have it set such that it bubbles to just below the collection cup.
