I’m looking to add a Simplicity DC skimmer to my setup. My DT is a 180Gal planet aquarium and I’m running a TideLine 48 sump with live rock and chaeto in the refugium section. I’m figuring total volume of about 230gal. Current live stock includes 3 tangs, 2 royal grammas, 1 damsel, and 1 Martin clown, along with a couple cleaner shrimp. Few soft corals at this point as well but do intend to add additional livestock and coral. Would it be a better decision to go with the 320 or will the 240 be able to handle my needs? I’ve heard it’s a bad thing to oversize the skimmer so I’d like to ensure I make the correct choice here.

I would go with the 320 I have the 240 on my 120 gallon tank, the skimmer pump is so small you will think it won't work but it will. They skim very dry if you want them to.
