So im going to post a picture of the first time I had my reef tank up and running and the way it looks now. It's just simply amazing how far you can go in this Hobby and not even realize that you made that much progression.

I would like everyone to post a picture of when you started and what you think looks like now and how long it took to get there.

Dec 15th 2016 I started the tank

Cause most of us don't have such impressive changes goin on.. ;(
Kiddin. Makes me wish I had more room, time and money for a bigger tank..

Those time progression images are hard cause you have to have a year of not really adding anything for them to be meaningful. Someday I hope that recent photos look better than older photos. For this to happen I'll have to stop murdering coral... this seems unlikely. When someone says "oh you raise Coral?" I say "nope. I buy beautiful pieces and kill them, but not on purpose."

I am usually so disgusted by my initial setup pics that I am embarrassed to post them lol.

LOL I could not agree more. Ditto!! Usually over the course of a year, my tank looks best at around the 2-3month mark before The Big Die Off and the Give Up Phase [emoji4]

Funny to say that you look at your reef everyday and you just don't realize how far you have come until you do this!

So that isn't just a phase that happens at my address? The Give Up Phase is usually followed by the I Will Give SPS One More Try phase, which takes place about a week later.
