I found this today bouncing around behind a montipora that I added about a month and a half ago. What’s the best way to get rid of it before it spreads?

There are a few ways ... you could spout vinigar in it or hot water .. you could use aptasiaX .. you could try a peppermint shrimp ..

I think I’ll try vinegar and hot water this evening and see how that works.

I remember hearing about being able to use a laser to kill them. Would any laser pointer work? I’m sure I have one laying around somewhere

Yes a laser will work as well

I have had decent luck with the Red Sea AiptasiaX.

You can also just use Kalk paste. I believe that is basically what AiptasiaX is anyway.

If you are able to, I think the easiest way is to pull the rock and let it dry out in the garage. I had two that stayed put for quite awhile and then when I tried to use aptasia x on them they started spreading. Pulled the rock and now my tank is free of them. I'd avoid using peppermint shrimp or a fish to eat them.

since hes small ,,super glue him in his hole or blow water with a turkey baster to make him retract then encase him in a booger of frag gel glue..give it 2 weeks and pluck the glue off the rock..

Well I tried reef glue, it was so hard to get to spread on the rock where he is. Of course I got it everywhere except on him. Now I have a large spikey blob on my rock lol. So he popped back up the next day so I will try again.

Can I squeeze the tube underwater? The bottle says not to...

The method I like it putting rubble over it, the anemone will move to the rubble and you pull it out. Takes a few days and very safe. If the nem doesn't move then eventually it will die on its own due to lack of light.

I found one on my zoa frag last week and just superglued him in. Haven't seen another since. If more pop up I'm getting a peppermint shrimp to keep them away.

I tried the glue, it hardened so fat I could barely spread it around. At $17 I dont want to try and squirt it underwater and risk ruining the whole bottle.

**Also**** found a nudibranch on the glass this morning. So looks like I have 2 issues.
And I dipped all my latest corals before they went in the tank. Ugh
