Single filament (maybe) algae ID?

I've spotted four of these things nearby each other over the last couple days. One attached to frag glue, one to the rock, and two to my hypnea. At first I thought they were my hairs that got into the tank, but they're definitely not because they aren't my hair color, haha. They are individual filaments with a tiny puff at the end. Any ideas? My tank is about 8 weeks old and Nitrates are currently at 8.

Wow, I hate the sound of that. But no, there are no filaments coming off the sides.

Um, any way to delete a thread? It didn't retract when I poked it so I pulled it out and.... pretty sure it was my husband's hair.
