I recently purchased a Kamoer X1 Pro 2 wifi dosing pump. I am having issues (as do many others) connecting it to my wifi. I have a separate thread about that specific pump and I am hoping it still works out. In the event that it doesn’t, are there any other single-head, wifi dosing pumps on the market and has anyone used them? I found a Jebao 3.1 on ebay, but I don’t trust ebay. It doesn’t seem to be for sale anywhere else.

I need something small (preferably a single head unit), and wifi or Bluetooth configurable.

I have the Kamoer X1 Pro 2 as well as the Bubble Magus, which I like pretty well. I too had issues with the Kamoer initially, but it seems to be playing nicely now. I do like that I can do a manual dose at any time with that pump. The BM doesn't use wifi and is a set it and forget it option which seems to be working well thus far.

Brs 1.1 ml/min + tp link smart power strip and kasa app.
Best of both worlds :)
I’m pretty new to dosing, so this may be a dumb concern. I’ve left the BRS pump out of consideration because the dosing rate seems to high for my tank. Currently I only need 5ml (estimate), broken up over the course of the day. Can that be done with BRS and a timer?

Yep.

Its a fixed speed and i get about 1.25 ml per minute.
The kasa app allows incriments of 1 minute for the schedule.

If you want more than 5 feed times you may need to find another option.

you yeah the BRS pump is 1.1ml be minute so if you have a digital timer then have it turn on for 1 minute, 5 times a day and you'll get 5.5ml.

Hi, Can you please explain this further? I run all Brs Dosing pumps. Are you saying you can make them wifi controlled?

You can get a WiFi power strip and plug the BRS dosers into it. It doesn’t make the BRS dosers WiFi controllable per se, but by turning the sockets on and off on the WiFi power strip you can achieve a similar result.

Thanks. I would definitely love to hear some more details on this. I would love to use my existing pumps
Didnt mean to hijack! My apologies.

Do you use one? Is it reliable? How does it really work?
Yep. And yep and you download the kasa app.
Sorry its A TP link powerstrip or outlet. Kasa is the app.
As said above its essentially a smart timer for on/off control but controlled wirelessly :)

They work great. I'd suggest getting the six outlet version...you can always use more outlets!

I have been reading reviews that if wifi disconnects on these, which mine will, the strip does not reconnect? That could cause the pumps to not dose. Any truth to that? Frequently in the middle of the night my Wi-Fi has issues. So I just worry that if it’s having issues it may not turn the pump on or it may not turn the pump off?

I haven't experienced any issues with reconnecting to WiFi.

However, I can understand your concern. You may consider selliing those BRS pumps and go with a Bubble Magus which doesn't use WiFi. Available as single or multi-head units.
