I’m thinking of buying an RODI unit, and was wondering if any of you knew what kind of adaptor I could put on this sink to connect to the RODI? I’m in college living in an apartment, so I don’t want to do too much diy plumbing and end up messing something up. Anyone know of any adaptors that could fit on this sink? Thanks!

That looks like a bathroom sink. That specific design has the pipe up inside an outer cover. If water backs up into it the water will flow up and out into the cabinet it sits on. You may be able to unscrew the aerator but you will have a hard time getting a good seal with the adaptor and create a lot of water flow into the cabinet.

I would try another sink or find an adaptor that you can place between the wall pipe and shower head if you need to use that specific area.

What I personally did was use the kitchen sink and bought an extra water line and a connector so I could run the water from the sink into the next room, cloer to the tank.

There are three common aerator sizes. Suggest taking the aerator off the faucet and bringing to HD or Lowe's to match the diameter and thread size.

If all else fails
Use a saddle tap on the cold waterline below the kitchen/bathroom sink, can be disconnected and closed off when you move, generally goes unnoticed on walk throughs at the end of your lease. ;)

So, I took the aerator off, and here’s what it looks like. I also included some pics under the sink. I know that doing something under the sink is probably the best bet. Just don’t want to screw anything up and get slapped with a security deposit fine!

With those under sink fittings you have, I would absolutely get the valve I posted earlier, with some teflon tape and a wrench you're good to go, SUPER easy to do.

Home Depot has a quick disconnect, (like the one for a dishwasher), that will screw in. I have it on my bathroom sink and have the connector on my RO/DI unit.
