Hey guys,
My maroon clownfish has been spending all his time laying on the bottom of the tank for the past few days.
I wasn't alarmed at first because I have had him for 2 years and he really likes to sleep in that precise position, but usually during the day he is swimming around the tank. I have never seen him spend the entire day in that position.
He's been acting like this for over three days and now I'm starting to get worried. I had to remove the substrate because it was causing abrasions on his left side. Could it be a swim bladder issue?
SG: 1.024
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
Temp: 72F
Edit: When it's feeding time he still has a big appetite and is able to swim around the tank (but he seems to struggle slightly as if there were a small invisible weight constantly tugging him towards the bottom of the tank). After feeding he goes straight back to his corner and lays like that.
