One of my favorite corals is my giant sinularia leather. It’s always been high reaching and very full:

As of recent, it hasn’t been so high reaching or full:

I took a closer look, and noticed the base is brown and rough looking.

It appears to be rotting. When I ran my finger down the stalk, the bottom half is rough and crusty, very dried out. I don’t know how long it’s been like this, but it seems to be in a pretty damaged state. I know leathers are very hardy, but I wanted to ask for advice on how to get this coral back on the right track. Thanks!

hi,looking rt now i do not see rot,rot would be black and need to be cut out,
i think just place a rock a little higher against stalk to support.. :)
