So I need to stop ignoring my vermitid snails. I only have maybe 10-15 in my 20 gallon tank but I HATE them and they are definitely multiplying quick. So, I’ve read a lot of methods of controlling them… but I had an idea I wanted to get some opinions on. Could I… stab them off with a sharp knife and simultaneously siphon them out?? I don’t want to remove any of my rocks in fear of hurting my corals and anemones.

also curious if the ailtasia x method.

thanks for any input!

I usually go around stabbing them, more like icepicking them, its much faster than glueing them one at a time, or politely breaking them off one at a time. I rampage icepick everything I see, then big water change.

I also break what ones I can get hold of. Sometimes my fingernail can do the trick or I break as close to the base as I can with a pair of tweezers. Get as many as you can. The multiply so quickly.
