Hi. If I hard plumb my UV like the image below, will it create a siphon with the way the pipes are plumbed and will it drain the water in the red circle area? Or will there still be water at the bottom of the pipes and in the UV when the siphon breaks? I'm asking because of in the event I need to remove my UV, I need the water to be drained. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

IF the pump stops that set up will drain the tank to the end of the return spout,

There will be some water trapped in the UV, but you could lift it up and the water should drain out back through the pump. GL

I believe the water in the UV will try to level itself with the level of what's in the sump once power is cut. So if the UV is sitting low like in your drawing then there will be water left in there. Water will drain further down if it's mounted higher.

I'll see if I can mount it higher. If I can't, is there any other way to drain it?
they are fairly easy to drain when the pump is off, just holding it up with the intake side down until the water runs out. Quick disconnects might serve you well?
