Siphoning sand bed vs copepods??

Will vacuuming the sand bed during maintenance hurt the copepods population? Just curious because I added some pods into the tank and I dont want my money wasted by doing that.

Absolutely pods get sucked up but the way I see it is that the benefit of pods vs vacuuming the sewage from your sand bed is a no brainer. Pods still live on your rocks and fuge so no need to worry about depleting them. I vacuum monthly and have plenty of pods

I vacuum my sand bed every week as I do 15% water change weekly. I hope I don't kill off the population lol.
