Hello Fellow Fishkeepers,

I am looking so setup a tank with Siporax in my filter in an anaerobic environment for NO3.
I am also aware, that it will leach Silicates which I need to keep in check with regular water changes.

If you can give me some tips on how to manage this SI rise, It would be much appreciated.

How much SIPORAX did you use on your system? What is your water volume?
My tank will be about 90 gallons. How much SIPORAX to use is undecided.

I found a thread from last year with Lasse saying he kept it in check with 20% WC every other week.

Thanks!

A lot fo phosphate removers will also remove silica. However, people dose silica as it gets used pretty rapidly. However, if you are worried, why not just use a different media?
