Siporax

I want to avoid some of the sponge like blocks such as marine pure but I am wondering if siporax also leaches aluminum or anything else for that matter.

Anyone using siporax or heard of leaching issues?

I had 2 liters of siporax in my 50 gallon. Only issue I had it was driving my nutrients down and it became a detritus trap. So, I removed them.

and you saw a rise in nutrients after removing them?
