If you are comfortable with where your phosphates are then I would give it a try.

I think a little at time would be best and monitor phosphates.

Hi thanks for the info but I'm using siporax bio filter medium professional ,it's aimed more at nitrates ,siporax algovec is aimed more at phosphates.

Hi guys it's me with another question as I said above I'm going to remove the siporax as I want the space in my sump for my cheato ,and I was thinking I have a couple of reactors. sitting doing nothing one is a deltec fr509 now I was thinking of stacking it inside the reactor as I believe it would still serve the same function and it would free up the space for a larger area in my sump for cheato .

Hi has anyone ever heard of any one using siporax in a reactor , and or if there is any reason why it would not function if stacked in a reactor rather than in the sump any input would be mutch appreciated thank you

Well I relocated 3ltr of siporax into the reactor and shifted 2 ltr to another area in the sump and bind the other ltr so got the space back in the sump centre chamber for cheato
,couple of pics of siporax in reactor

Well just a little update nitrate still sitting at 20 ppm phos nearly undetectable so think I will remove another ltr of siporax to see if it brings my phos up a bit to balance things out a bit better in the tank al other levels are fine.
