Six legged Starfish ??

Found this in my tank I’ve heard of it and tried to research it . I’m mainly concerned about my coral?

It’s an asterina star. I’ve heard lots of people say that they are bad, but I’ve never had them mess with any of my corals. You can pick it out if you want. They will reproduce very fast, so if you don’t take it out, you’ll probably have a ton of them in a few months.

I take them out of my tank but you'll never get em' all! hah they won't hurt anything but they can be an eye sore.

Keep your eye on them. If they have extra detritus they will multiple quickly and potentially out of control. You can easily get a shrimp that feeds only on stars or you can manually remove them. You can always move them to the sump if you don’t want to get rid of them too

Ugh. Be careful. They multiple so quickly!! Abd they can irrate corals. I've been squirting them off my frag garden every evening to try to keep them from growing on my baby zoas. But I've never had them bother established coral. Today I found a seven legged one....

I hear Harlequin shrimp like to eat them.

Get rid of it as long as you only have a few,they are a pain in the butt to get rid of if the population explodes and the will eat your zoas I lost whole colonies to them.

Get rid of them, they may eat coral depending and what Asterina star they are but they will for sure eat coraline!

Can we see the seven leg one? I was shocked to see a six leg, now I must see a seven leg one!
