Hi all. I am wondering if anyone has experience in this matter. I have a scooter blenny now in my tank and am planning on upgrading to a 40b from my 20H. Also I have a cleaner and two clowns. I won't be adding another fish till the upgrade but I want to start planning now so I can research my fish. I also have a 10 gallon fuge for the pods and my scooter eats prepared as well. I will be upgrading to a 20L fuge when I get the 40b. Any input would be helpful!

Since your scooter eats prepared foods you’ll be fine. Just know that eventually six lines tend to get extremely aggressive. Like, enough that they will have no problem killing new and even existing tankmates. Personally I would find a different fish that you like but it’s up to you!

I have a sixline and lawn mower blenny. They get along fine. Sixline will eat all the pods he can get to so its a good thing your blenny eats prepared. Sixline is a very active swimmer and very fun to watch in the tank. Everybody keeps telling me the sixline is going to get aggressive. I have never had any issues with mine and added 3 fish after him.

Just curious, how long have you had him? I usually hear the really bad aggression happens after it being established for a couple of years. But it’s possible you just got lucky, each fish does have its own personality after all!

I plan on getting one as small as I can so I can have awhile to worry about behavior issues. And I will be upgrading to an even larger tank within two years when we buy our house.

I've had him for a year but the Sixline itself is 3 yrs old (got from someone leaving the hobby). Currently have in 37g tank with in order of added Occ. Clown Fish, Sixline, Royal Gramma, Lawn Mower Blenny and Sapphire Damsel. The Clown Fish followed by the Gramma are most aggressive in my tank. Personally I have heard a lot of "sixline's are so aggressive" but not a lot personal stories. I have Mbuna African Cichlids I am very familiar with aggressive fish. My sixline shows no signs of aggression what so ever. Not to say that that can't change but I am part of the camp that any fish can become aggressive.
