Six Line Wrasse Discoloration or something more?

Hey everybody. I initially posted this in the general fish forum, but after discovering this forum and some helpful advice from members SaltyT and Vetteguy53081, I decided to move it here.

I’ve had this Six Line Wrasse for about 4 months and she’s been a beautiful addition. At first I thought this may be a bruise, as starting about two days ago my larger Davinci clownfish started acting aggressive towards my smaller clown fish, though I haven’t seen her pick on the Wrasse yet I figured it was too much a coincidence. However, being new to the hobby I thought I better ask.​

Any suggestions would be appreciated. SaltyT and Vetteguy seemed to think an infection of some sort, so I did set up a small QT tank, placed her in there, and dosed with Paraguard, which is what I had on hand. I took a video and uploaded it to YouTube so you could take a clear look. She’s acting completely normal and eats just fine as always. I also have metroplex and focus, and thought about adding that to her frozen food? Thank you for any advice.​

In-take media basket with (filter flossPurigen, phosguard, and chemipure elite)

I’ve been using the Prodibio BioKit Reef for about 9 weeks every 15 days.

I change the water every two weeks using 4.4g Nutri SeaWater.

Tank parameters;
Amonnia 0
PH 8.4
Salinity 1.027
Temp 78.4

I still say bacterial and if you have not yet treated, it will only progress. As an option, you can use Ruby Rally Pro which is deemed reef safe

The last picture was the best one for me - that looks like a bacterial disease that likely began as aggression (see the broken fin rays on the end of the caudal fin). While you might not have seen the clownfish do that, I think some fish did attack it. That can happen in a split second when you aren't in the room.

Treatment isn't going to really be possible in your display. You could try feeding Seachem focus mixed with antibiotics. A better treatment would be to move the fish to a treatment tank and dose with a good broad spectrum, gram negative, antibiotic such as Kanaplex or Neoplex, or even Maracyn 2.

Hey Jay and thank you! I was able to move her to this QT tank in the video and I treated it with Paraguard. I have metroplex and focus that I plan to feed her tonight. These are the medicines I had on hand. Do you think this is a good course?

Well, actually, those are primarily anti-protozoan medications, and this looks more like a bacterial issue. Getting the fish into the QT will at least get it away from other fish is aggression was actually the issue.

Ah ok! I’ll check around for Kanaplex tomorrow though it may be something I’ll have to order off Amazon. I have some Dr. Tim’s First Defense?

That won't hurt, but it isn't a true antibiotic.

Yes - when dosing antibiotics for people, a physician might run a sensitive test to see which antibiotic is most effective - all we can do is suggest a broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic and hope for the best. Kanaplex or Neoplex are two that have a good track history.

I was wondering how this turned out? I got six line 2 weeks ago and now mine has spots like this. Any suggestions appreciated. I don't think k mine is an injury he is in an observation tank with a midas blenny I also picked up the same day. Have not seem any aggression.
