I'm brand new here, so hopefully I'm doing this right.. I just noticed some discoloration on one side of my Six Line where he has a more pink patch across the middle of that one side. I've had him for 2.5 months, quarantined him, and he's only in the tank with 2 clowns presently. Any thoughts?

Welcome to R2R!
Can you post a picture of the wrasse? Has there been any aggression in the tank? Clowns can be pretty mean at times. They are after all part of the Damsel family.

Thank you!
Up to this point the only aggression I've seen is from the larger clown to the smaller. The wrasse swims with them sometimes but always without issue. Please let me know if these pictures help, I'm glad to try again, but it's like trying to photograph a UFO, hah.

Fwiw, all of my 6 line wrasses in the past besides 1 had this pink splotch on one side. They never developed any disease or it never got worse.
All were 14 day quarantined with copper power then transfered.

Thank you for your feedback as well @Saltyreef . That's good to hear. I've been pretty anxious with everything that seems "awry" since I only did freshwater for so long and this is so new to me.

Here are some additional photos @Big G . Chasing this guy down is rough!

He's eating like a pig! Thank you both for your feedback, much appreciated.

I've had probably a dozen or more of these fish over the years and never had one look like that without a reason. Being that it didn't look like that to begin with, something has happened. Looks like it got an abrasion or stung or something... do you have an anemone in the tank? I'd keep a close eye on it. Hope it gets better.

I appreciate your feedback as well, @Spieg . I don't have an anemone in the tank. I did see him scratching one day last week but not since that day. So, the abrasion could definitely make sense. At this point he's still eating well and the mark has gotten no worse- not sure that it's improving yet though. Have you or @Saltyreef had the mark go away on yours over time?

Thanks! @tnw50cal

So I have had the same thing happen. Any suggestions for me?

Unfortunately, he only lived another 2 months due to bullying, but the coloration went away from my recollection. It had no impact on the fish’s health that I could tell.

Thanks for the info. Mine has been like this on both of its sides for 5days now. No worse but no better. I guess time will tell.
