So I picked up a Six Line wrasse a few weeks ago and I have him in my quarantine tank along with 2 other fish (Neon Dottyback and Flame Angel who seem normal). I just treated the tank about 7 days ago with Prazipro to begin my medication cycle. Two days ago I noticed a red coloration on his sides and now yesterday I noticed it’s gotten bigger and wanted some ideas about what might be happening. It doesn’t look like soars or wounds, he just looks like he’s turning pink instead of the typical blue. He’s fairly active and eats at every opportunity. He doesn’t scratch or flash either.
Details/Questions:
-I’ve been feeding him Nios wild goji soft pellets which I know can boost red coloration in fish. Could it just be this?
-I know Prazipro can cause skin irritation in fish. This more likely? Are Six line wrasses particularly sensitive to Praziquantel?
-Is it perhaps just the water quality? I’ll be doing a 25% water change soon.
It might be nothing but figured I would ask
