Well I decided to go with a six line wrasse for my tank! What a awesome little fish!!! I love the coloring!!!

Now my next question would be....... Anyone have any helpful tip on keeping the algae at bay! That seems to be the most difficult thing for me with the saltwater! If we leave the light on too long we get red algae........ and this can happen over night....... drives me crazy!!!!

Hi....yea check your parameters....it sounds like possibly high nitrates and/or phosphates....also how much and how often are you feeding? Are you using RODI water for top offs and for mixing salt water? How often are you doing water changes?

Six Line's are a pretty fish - always active and hunting. Reminds me of a fighter jet in a pill bottle - that is the attitude of those little guys. Everyone else already has the water and algae covered. More information would help :)

I do small water changes every other week! Parameters are all ok at the moment! We use a premixed water! We have had algae in the tank since it went through it’s cycle! We have had the tank over a year and we still get an algae bloom when the lights are on for more than 4 hrs a day! I’m wondering if that was something I did wrong during the initial cycle of the tank!
