Hello,

I moved my six line wrasse from my 55 gal to my 80 gal because I gifted a friend the smaller tank. I woke up this morning and my large electric blue hermit crab has been shredded. Made me realize that I have found 2-3 empty hermit shells in the 55 gal preciously. I think I remember someone telling me once that they couldn’t seem to keep their clean up crew with their wrasse. I guess my question is, is my wrasse eating my crabs?

Thank you!

I'm pretty sure you've found your culprit. Although I don't keep crabs in my display, a Wrasse is why I switched to Trochus Snailss...they can right themselves and at least have a fighting chance!

I actually just got a sixline the other day and the guy at my LFS told me they were pretty peaceful. I also have a fire shrimp in the same tank do you think the wrasse will try to attack it?[emoji51]

I too have a 6 line with plenty of small hermit crabs. Haven't had an issue. I suppose like a lot of things, it depends on the fish.

Most likely it will
