I got a six line wrasse yesterday and when I first put it in the tank it swam around for probably ten seconds and then went behind the overflow box. Has been there ever since. Is this normal?

Kinda. While six lines are an outgoing fish, most fish will hide for the first few days. I wouldn’t let it get into the overflow boxI got a six line wrasse yesterday and when I first put it in the tank it swam around for probably ten seconds and then went behind the overflow box. If so, then he’s just scared. I’ve had mine for about a year. He stays hid a lot but comes out to feed. He will come out from time to time and swim all over the tank getting his exercise. He is so fast !you acclimated him before you put him in the tank, didn’t you?
Yes I put the bag in the water for 15 minutes and added some tank water every 15 minutes twiceyou acclimated him before you put him in the tank, didn’t you?
Ok, it is a hob overflow so he is hiding inbetween the glass and the back of the box.Kinda. While six lines are an outgoing fish, most fish will hide for the first few days. I wouldn’t let it get into the overflow box
This isn’t good acclimation. Look up a video on how to do it properly, or you will lose a lot of fish until you learn to do it properly.Yes I put the bag in the water for 15 minutes and added some tank water every 15 minutes twice
