Can someone please tell me what kind of fish this guy is? I was told by the previous owner that she was told it was a six line wrasse. When I looked up the pics of sixlines, this one didn't look much like one. It is very aggressive, only tolerating the clowns and it will only eat mysis...completely ignoring pellets. I attempted to add a peppermint shrimp and it immediately attacked and ate it (expensive meal).

The pretty ones are always bad.

Yup...it was a very bad actor and I had to remove it into it's own tank with other bad actors (an emerald crap and an oversized red leg hermit crab). They are all getting along well as bad actors though ;)

Yup...I had to remove this guy from the main display into a "bad companions" tank with an emerald crap and an oversized red leg hermit crab. They all seem to "get along" but it's to bad because it's a beautiful fish that I can't keep in my main display.

Anyone out there looking at this fish I highly recommend putting it in a smaller display by itself or with a clown/pair of clowns. That's the only fish I found it to tolerate. It picked at everything else in the tank until I removed it which included a goby, blenny, firefish/dartfish, mandarin and yellow tang. Fortunately, I didn't lose any fish to it, but since it eats all sizes of shrimp immediately as I mentioned above with the peppermint shrimp (which was a pretty good size) I did lose a shrimp. I removed it by feeding it from a net for about a week and it is such an aggressive feeder that after a couple of days it was going into the net to get the mysis. Once it started to "trust" the net I was able to nab it out of there and transplant it.
It is also a jumper and I almost lost it from the smaller tank because I left the sump in the back uncovered and it jumped out into it. Fortunately I had a lid and was able to recovery into the main display with a small injury that it has since recoverd from. I love the fish, but it is a loner.
