I don't know what just happened but my sixline just lost color and started acting crazy all the sudden. The only thing I did was dose mag.
I have had him for a year or so and has been super healthy and doing great.
Any help would be greatly appreciated a.s.a.p

White light pics and a short video will help. Any recent additions?

His color is back now and has calmed down a bit but that was crazy. The only thing I can think is when I dosed the mag. He somehow took some in.
I'll keep posted if the problem keeps on.
Thank you for the quick reply.

Sounds like it could be a reaction to the dosing, due to aggression, or just a random thing.
A water change never hurts.
Sounds good. I have 15 gallons mixed right now. Was planning on doing it tomorrow but I think I'll be doing that tonight.

To me it sounds like aggression, I’ve seen my tang lose colour but his lines become much more dominant when showing off to establish dominance to his reflection.
Six lines (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia) is also very well known for being aggressive and often killing tankmates due to this.
