If i wanted to buy a bucket of instant ocean and dump the whole thing in a container, what size would I need for 35ppt?

I'm not sure how specific of an answer that you are looking for, but I believe that the front of the Instant Ocean bucket says that it makes 160 gallons. Presumably this is somewhere between 1.022 sg (~29 ppt) and 1.026 sg (~35 ppt).

Generally, 1/2 cup per gallon. I usually use 5 gallon bucket and mix 2-1/2 cups and it measures out at 35ppt on refractometer.
