sizing how much light for cheto

Het guys setting an sps tank back up, im wanting to run skimmer, cheto, socks and carbon as main sources of filtration, but never done cheto before, tank is a 170gallon med/heavy fish load. how powerful of a fug light would you recommend. Seen things like the kessil 360x all the way down to no name amazon things, just looking for a dirction to start.

If your budget allows the H series Kessils are nice. 160 and 380. I have the 160 over a 12x12 area and get good growth with red macro I use instead of chaeto. I would have got the 380 but the 160 was on sale at the time for a really good price. I have had great luck with std led grow bulbs from the hardware store also. You will need a reflector/ fixture with clamp or something to hang or mount them. For something in between the viparspectra lights are a good option.
