Posting in January 2021. Tank started as a BioCube 8, but when my lighting upgrade went awry, I traded that tank and bought the 16 LED. Water and Rock moved from 8 to 16 with new Live Sand. Picture was June 2020.

August 2020 Added a Hygger 1600GPH Wavemaker in lower right back to work with the existing flow that was mainly breaking surface tension. Figured out that I should dial the time ahead/back 5 hours to match my current lighting.
Finally settled on:
1128 at the 5:30-7:30 (Dawn) slot and with the 5 hours, it is my 10:30am
2040 at the 7:30-9:30 (Sunrise) or my 12:30pm
3040 at the 9:30-14:00 (Day) or my 2:30pm
4040 at the 14:00-16:30 (Sunset) or my 7:00pm
5128 at the 16:30-5:30 (Night) or my 9:30pm through 10:30am the next day.

I was concerned about the Random possibly full 100% but the corals are fine and I just make sure if I slide it up or down nothing is getting really blown about.

September 2020, I was concerned about temperature. I had an older heater that I didn't want to fail and boil the tank, so I bought an Inkbird ITC-308S. No WiFi necessary. I work from home. This would also help me figure out summer temperatures. I set to 78 with 1 down and 2 up with alarms at 65 and 90. Had to calibrate it but works great.

Speaking of Cooling... the house and floor it is on don't normally get too hot but I was having temps go into the low 80s consistently and didn't want the fluctuations. I bought two of these: Eluteng 40mm USB fan. Worked on several different mounting setups to one of the back holes of the lid. Some rattle is still being battled (rattle battle). I ended up mounting a hinge on the top of the lid and top of the fan so when I open the lid it can pivot. Some foam tape on the fan edges and a bit of electrical tape on the hinge has helped.
