Skeleton coral

Hey guys, I have about 4 lbs of skeleton coral in my new tank which is about 20 years old. I ordered 10 lbs of base rock which I know is dead but I read that organisms will eventually colonize on it.

I was wondering if that would be the same situation for old coral?

Yup! As long as you introduce bacteria, microfauna, etc., it will become live "rock"
