I have heard that different color of skimmate will indicate whether the skim is wet or dry. Lighter color brown wil be wet, darker brown dryer. Well my skim has been a light green the past two days and I know it's wet but I haven't heard of the green skimmate.
I've been feeding frozen brine and Mysis shrimp along with San Francisco marine cuisine frozen.
I have a mix of clowns, a blenny, goby, wrasse Cardinals, and royal gramma nd Chromis. I also have some frags and a BTA
I feed once a day. The tank is a 45 gal JBJ with a Coralvue IceCap K2 50 skimmer.
Thanks

skimmate will be all sorts of different colors depending on the aquarist's actions.

green, brown, black, etc. it is perfectly normal.

Dark green here when I settles in the cup. A green brown foam

Ah thanks Russ265. I was begging to worry. I don't get a lot of skim and that maybe ( at least I think) that because I have a piece of polyfilter sitting in back of the overflow to quiet the noise before it hits the skimmer. Will be changing that when the skimmer goes down below
