So i did my water change this evening and then went to dinner with the wife ,get home and my skimmer has overflown into my sump umm.now i cant get it to stop overflowing even with the gatevalve open all the way what should i do step up water changes?

I usually get the same thing if I do a water change, or really anything that kicks up any of the detritus that is in my sump or in the tank itself. It will return to normal after a short time.

ok thats what i was thinking just giving it sme time.

I let mine run, I never had this happen before.
Sometimes the day before a water change I'll kick up the detritus and sand bottom to let the skimmers remove what it can from the system before the water change.
Did you put anything into the water besides salt when you did the water change?

nope just rodi water and salt.i think the water level in sump when it raises the skimmer body fills more and then the overflowed skimmate was all in the water so then when skimmer is skiming it just goes crazy
